Bright Blue Skies

We started yesterday in dense fog, although the weather forecast told otherwise. Early morning fog has been rather commonplace the last couple of days. We walked for a few hours in the haze and mist, and sadly missed the beautiful vistas that the morning’s trek might have offered. It’s hard to know where you are going when the fog is so dense, but, the yellow markers lining the Way always appeared when we need them most.

Even with limited visibility, we were able to find ruins from a Roman village dated back to the 3rd century (BC).

Shortly before lunch, the fog finally lifted and we were met with the brightest blue skies. It happened so quickly I hardly noticed the transition.

The rest of the day proved to be glorious

Here is where we stayed last night. It was heavenly!
